About Our Prints

With few exceptions the works in our range are 'original' prints. This means they are not reproductions from original canvases but are prints that have been created by the artist for a specific printmaking process on stones (lithograph), metal plates (etching or lithograph), acetate sheets (screenprint) or linoleum blocks (linocut). In special circumstances, such as working with a senior artist who is too frail to execute work on plates, stones or acetates, we have published screenprints which are reproductions from 'signature' works originally painted on canvass. These are identified as 'screenprint' as opposed to 'original screenprint' which is the terminology we use to describe an original print.

The prints are produced on acid free, archival quality papers to ensure their longevity.

The sale of each print is accompanied by full documentation including an explanation about the imagery and spiritual significance plus technical and full provenance details. Artist's biographies are also included.

About The Organisation Behind This Website

The Australian Art Print Network is a publisher and marketer of limited edition, fine art prints by Australian Aboriginal artists whose partners have been involved in Aboriginal printmaking for the past twenty years. We do not deal in any other Aboriginal art works. Because we are print specialists, we believe we offer a range, quality and level of service unequaled elsewhere for work in this medium.
