Graham Badari

see the Artists prints

Graham has been working with Injalak Arts& Crafts in Oenpelli since 1990. This region in Western Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia has been part of a long and vibrant artistic tradition containing some of the world’s most noted ancient ‘rock art galleries’.

Graham is in his early thirties and is a consistent and prolific artist. His paintings are deft and his renderings of the fish and animal life of his homeland are quite beautiful. He usually chooses to work in a small format because of the fine nature of his paintings.

Graham’s country is Maburrinj and his two major Djang or Dreaming stories are Kodjorn or witchetty grub that changes to Ngalyod, the Rainbow Serpent and Ngurrudu or emu.
